Boycott the Organic Traitor Brands

Dear Family and Friends,

I was quite surprised (and disappointed) when I saw this list of “organic and healthy” brands created by companies that are supporting the Monsanto effort to DEFEAT the November 6th GMO Labeling Initiative!  Even though I know that many of us have embraced these foods over the years in our quest for healthier eating, we MUST sacrifice our appetite for these foods to bring about the labeling of GMO Foods that are truly detrimental to our health!  If you have any doubts about GMO Foods being dangerous to our health, please CLICK HERE to view A VIDEO!

If the GMO Foods labeling Initiative does NOT pass, it won’t be long before these Monsanto supporters include dangerous GMO ingredients into their so-called “organic” healthy foods, and we WON’T EVEN KNOW IT!  😡  In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the GMO ingredients are ALREADY in these so-called “Organic and Healthy” food products, and they are JUST NOT TELLING US (because they DON’T have to yet!!!!  (OMG!!) :-O  That would explain why they are FIGHTING the initiative so hard!!! …they DON’T want us to find out that their “organic and healthy” foods ALREADY have GMO ingredients in them, because they would have to CHANGE THE LABELING ON THE PACKAGING immediately!!!!!

BE STRONG, BE SMART and BOYCOTT these companies that are showing us that they are part of the MONSANTO CONGLOMERATE that want us to be diseased, sickly and dying, so that we can continually be fed to the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industries for their continued DEADLY PROFITS at the American People’s expense!

Love, Peace, Wisdom, Abundance, Joy, Health and Harmony to ALL!

Boycott the Organic and ‘Natural’ Traitor Brands Whose Parent Companies Oppose Your Right to Know

In recent weeks, several public interest groups, including the Organic Consumers Association, Cornucopia Institute,, and Natural News, have pointed out the gross hypocrisy and greed of large food and beverage corporations selling billions of dollars of organic and natural food, while meanwhile bankrolling the industry opposition to GMO labeling. These organic and “natural” traitor companies and brands include: Kellogg’s (Kashi, Bear Naked, Morningstar Farms); General Mills (Muir Glen, Cascadian Farm, Larabar); Dean Foods (Horizon, Silk, White Wave); Smucker’s (R.W. Knudsen, Santa Cruz Organic); Coca-Cola (Honest Tea, Odwalla); Safeway (“O” Organics); Kraft (Boca Burgers and Back to Nature); Con-Agra (Orville Redenbacher’s Organic, Hunt’s Organic, Lightlife); and PepsiCo (Naked Juice, Tostito’s Organic, Tropicana Organic). All of these companies are profiting from the sale of billions of dollars of their proprietary organic and “natural” food brands while at the same time funneling large sums of money to the Monsanto-led campaign to defeat the November 6th GMO labeling ballot initiative (Proposition 37) in California.

We need to send a clear message to these traitor brands, in the only language they understand: lost profits and lower sales. Today, the Organic Consumers Association and are formally calling for a boycott of 7 organic and “natural” brands.

Stop Syngenta’s Insecticidal ‘Bt’ Genetically Engineered Corn

Take Action!
Four Reasons to Avoid Non-Organic Corn and Processed Foods Containing Corn or Corn-Sweeteners:
1. GMO “Bt” corn produces its own insecticide. It kills bugs, bad bugs and good bugs alike, including beneficial insects like honeybees, ladybugs and butterflies.
2. Inhaled Bt has caused severe allergies in farmworkers while GMO Bt corn pollen has reportedly killed peasants in the Philippines. Besides setting off serious allergies in farmworkers inhaling Bt, in 2003, five people living around Bt corn fields in the Philippines died and dozens became ill with fever and respiratory, intestinal and skin problems. Subsequently, 38 individuals had their blood analyzed and all were positive for antibodies specific to Cry1Ab, suggesting an immune reaction to genetically engineered Bt toxins.
3. GMO Bt corn livestock feed kills animals. In 1996, Syngenta abruptly terminated a US Bt corn feeding study after four cows died in two days. Later, Syngenta paid a German farmer 40,000 euros in partial compensation for dead cows, decreased milk yields, and vet costs incurred during authorized field tests from 1997 to 2002.
4. More than 80% of women and their unborn children have GMO Bt toxins in their blood! Most Americans probably have no idea how much corn they’re eating, but with all the high-fructose corn syrup, corn oil, and food from animals raised on corn, it’s little wonder that so many of us have GMO Bt toxins coursing through our blood.
Please, encourage everyone you know to stop eating non-organic corn and help get this stuff banned – or at least labeled!
There are already 16 different GMO Bt varieties of corn cultivated in this country – even though many other countries ban Bt crops. Now, Syngenta wants another approved.

India Parliamentary Committee Slams Biotech

Earlier this month, the Indian Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture put out an extensive report on the cultivation of genetically modified food crops. The committee called for a halt on all GM crop field trials, as well as the labeling of all GM products. According to Basudep Acharya, a leading member of the committee, “The committee has come to the conclusion that since concerns on the potential and actual impacts of GM crops to our food, farming, health and environment are valid, GM crops are just not the right solution for our country.” In a further slam to the Biotech lobby in India, Acharya went on to say that the government “should stop parroting the promotional lines of the biotechnology and seed industry and their cronies within the technocracy and stand by scientific reasoning and greater public good”.
The report came a day after the Indian state of Maharashtra issued a ban on all Bt cotton seeds from Mahyco (Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Company), co-owned by Monsanto. Four other Indian states have banned all GM plantings, including field trials.

Help Expose Monsanto’s Lies: Support the OCA and the OCF

Any day now, California’s airwaves will light up with lies – lies intended to scare voters away from voting YES on 37, the California Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act. Biotech Giants Monsanto, DuPont, and Dow Chemical, along with Pepsi and Coca-Cola have already raised $25 million to saturate the airwaves with lie after lie. The same folks who brought you DDT and Agent Orange will claim that GMO labeling will cause a big jump in your grocery bill, that genetically modified foods are perfectly safe, and that consumers will be ‘confused’ by a few extra words printed on a label.
You can help expose these lies with your donation today.
In California, latest polls indicate that 69% of likely voters want mandatory GMO labeling. That’s enough to win in November – unless the opposition’s Campaign of Lies succeeds. We don’t believe it will. But we can’t take any chances.
Thanks to the support of our grassroots networks, the OCF and OCA, along with and our other allies, our side has already raised several million dollars for the Yes on Prop 37 campaign. That’s not enough to out-advertise the opposition, but it will help us organize armies of volunteers to hand out hundreds of thousands of leaflets in supermarket parking lots. It will help us organize volunteer phone banks to get voters to the polls.
It will help us expose Monsanto’s lies. This is the battle for your right to know. Please pitch in today.

Oregon Canola Update: Temporary Stay Granted on Canola Production in the Willamette Valley

Last week, in response to a petition filed by Friends of Family Farmers, the Center for Food Safety and specialty seed growers, the Salem Court of Appeals granted a stay on Oregon Department of Agriculture’s (ODA) temporary rules that expanded the growing area for canola, including genetically engineered canola, in the Willamette Valley. The planting of canola in these newly unrestricted areas has been legally halted until a court hearing, likely to be set for the end of August.
Willamette Valley is the perfect environment for growing specialty brassica (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, cabbage, etc) seeds. Canola is also a brassica, but spreads rampantly and cross pollinates with a lot of other brassicas, causing contamination and destruction of other seed crops. The Valley’s seed growers supply seed to companies around the world, especially those that grow non-GMO food. Oregon has prohibited the introduction of canola since 2009 due to the potential for transgenic contamination, the creation of resistant weed species, and the proliferation of disease and pests.
ODA still intends to move forward on permanent rules for expanding the allowed acreage for growing canola in three areas of the state, including the Willamette Valley. The public hearing for the permanent rules has been set for September 28, 2012.
